Play guide
- 1Use a take-home paper flower only if the organiser allows it and it is sturdy enough. Place it gently on an open palm.
- 2Walk five ordinary steps while keeping the flower balanced. The other person counts the steps and gets the next turn.
- 3For a final round, both walk side by side. If a flower falls, pick it up and keep going; there is no need to restart.
Success signals
The child controls pace and hand position while sharing a light challenge around something they made.
If it's tricky
If the flower is fragile or awkward, balance a spare sheet of paper instead and leave the artwork safe.
