Description
At Amazon Flooded Forest, watch a visible manatee and see whether you can follow its route from underwater towards the surface.
Cost: FreeBest time: Morning, Afternoon
Play guide
- 1Find a manatee visible from an open public viewing area. Each choose a visible feature that helps you follow the same animal.
- 2Watch it move without changing your own safe position. When it heads up, follow its route with a small finger movement in your own space.
- 3If it returns into view, check your identifying feature together. Ask whether it was the same animal or a different one.
Success signals
The pair uses an actual feature to track an individual through a changing view.
If it's tricky
The surface or manatee is out of view: follow one visible fish past two landmarks instead.
