Play guide

1. 1Write or draw the everyday chores each person has on separate small cards or slips.
2. 2Lay all the cards out so your child can see the two sets side by side.
3. 3Invite your child to propose a swap, such as trading one chore they dislike for one they mind less.
4. 4Take turns making offers and counter-offers, and let your child hear you reason out loud about why a trade feels fair or lopsided.
5. 5Settle on a swap you both agree to, and try it for a day or two before deciding whether to keep it.
