Description
Practise museum-style close looking at home: photograph a small detail of an everyday object and challenge each other to identify the whole object.
What to prep
- Adult-controlled camera
- Two or three familiar household objects
Cost: FreeBest time: Anytime
Play guide
- 1Choose a safe familiar object such as a spoon, woven basket or zipped bag. The adult takes a close photo of one detail.
- 2The other person guesses which object it belongs to, then checks the actual object.
- 3Swap who chooses the detail. Keep the object nearby so each guess has an immediate reveal.
Success signals
The child links a visible detail with a real whole object.
If it's tricky
No camera: partly cover an object with a cloth and reveal a little more after each guess.
