Description
Use one wooden spoon for a quick mime challenge after Mystery Box: can a partner guess whether it is an oar, a microphone or a hairbrush?
What to prep
- One wooden spoon
Cost: FreeBest time: Anytime
Play guide
- 1Put a wooden spoon on the table. One person chooses oar, microphone or hairbrush without announcing it.
- 2Act out the chosen use with small movements while the other guesses. Reveal the job and hand over the prop.
- 3Try another job from the list, then add a new one only if an idea comes easily.
Success signals
The same real object takes on a recognisable action communicated to a partner.
If it's tricky
Choosing silently is hard: let the adult name two options and the child pick the mime to demonstrate.
