Play guide

  1. 1Decide on a simple category everyone knows such as animals, actions, or favourite characters.
  2. 2One player thinks of something in the category and acts it out using only movements and faces, no words or sounds.
  3. 3Everyone else calls out guesses until someone gets it or the actor gives a thumbs up.
  4. 4Swap so a new player takes a turn acting out the next one.
  5. 5Keep the rounds short and fast, and stop while everyone still wants more.

Success signals

Your child acts out their idea with their whole body and stays silent while doing it. They wait for their turn and cheer on other players' guesses. Rounds keep moving without long stalls

If it's tricky

Your child blurts the answer or talks while acting: Remind them gently and model a silent round yourself. Younger players cannot think of an idea: Whisper one to them or let them pick from two you offer. Guessing drags: Let the actor give a single gesture clue such as holding up fingers for the number of words
