Description
Turn an ordinary sheet into patterned stationery. One person draws a short border pattern and the other continues it around the next corner.
What to prep
- Paper
- Pencils or markers
Cost: FreeBest time: AnytimeCreates something to keep
Play guide
- 1Choose a simple pattern: dot-dot-line, or loop-line-loop. Draw it along one edge of a blank sheet.
- 2Give the sheet to your partner to continue the same pattern along the next edge. Alternate edges until the border meets itself.
- 3Use the finished sheet for a note or card. Try another border with a pattern from your own workshop drawing if you have one.
Success signals
Both people extend an agreed sequence and produce a usable shared border.
If it's tricky
The pattern will not meet neatly: finish the last corner with a large dot or leave a deliberate gap.
