Play guide
- 1Have your child choose a real, useful life skill such as sewing on a button, basic first aid, reading a bus route, or managing a small budget.
- 2Together, break the skill into a few clear can-do steps that show they have it (for example, thread a needle, then sew a button, then finish neatly).
- 3Let them practise the steps over one or more sessions, with an adult alongside for any step that needs it.
- 4When they can do each step confidently, have them show you the whole skill from start to finish.
- 5Mark the milestone by making a simple certificate together listing what they can now do.
