Play guide

1. 1Give your child a large sheet or board and a stack of images to cut from, plus space to draw or write their own.
2. 2Ask them to gather anything that represents what matters to them right now (interests, values, people, places, hopes) and lay it out before sticking.
3. 3Let them arrange and stick the pieces however they want. This is theirs, so step back and let the choices be their own.
4. 4When they are done, invite them to walk you through the parts they want to share, without pressing for the ones they keep to themselves.
5. 5Find a spot to keep or display the board if they want to, or let them tuck it away privately.
