- 1In a dim room, one person holds a plain ball while the other shines a torch on it from the side.
- 2Keeping the torch still, look at the ball from two or three different positions. Find a big bright patch and a thin bright edge.
- 3Swap torch-holder and viewer. See whether your partner can find the thin bright edge you found.
Success signals
Changing viewpoint changes how much of the lit ball can be seen.
If it's tricky
No torch: move a ball near an ordinary lamp without touching the lamp, or choose the voice game after storytelling.
