Description
A group whispering game where a short message is passed quietly from person to person and the last player says it out loud, usually to everyone's laughter at how it changed. A shared, giggly moment for the family.

- 1Sit or stand in a line or circle so each player can whisper to the next.
- 2The first player thinks of a short phrase and whispers it once, quietly, to the person beside them.
- 3Each player whispers what they heard to the next, only once and without repeating.
- 4The last player says out loud what reached them.
- 5Compare it to the original phrase, enjoy the difference, then let a new player start the next message.
Success signals
Your child whispers quietly enough to keep it secret and passes the message on without shouting. They wait for their turn in the line. They laugh at the scrambled ending and want to start a new message
If it's tricky
A young child whispers too loudly or wants the message repeated: Let them have a practice round with no pressure to get it exactly right. A player freezes: Let them pass on whatever they think they heard; a garbled message is the fun. Someone changes the message on purpose every time: Gently remind them to pass on their best guess
